Another week in Huánuco! So as you know, I hurt my leg the last Saturday so this week was pretty slow. I´ve been going to member´s houses and staying/resting with them while my companion goes out to the area and works with other members. It was a super boring week of resting and I wanted to work super bad. It was such a huge change going from walking miles a day to being stuck in a room all day. I am looking forward to proselyting sooo much!! Hopefully I can get back to normal by mid-week but we will see. But during this time, our area wasn´t affected too much. We definitely saw the Lord´s hand in helping us through this trial and I was able to grow a lot closer to Christ during this time. I read my scriptures a tooooon and a ton of other church books which was awesome, I learned a lot.
I was also able to get to know a lot of the members and they are all super cool. I was able to stay with a lot of kids preparing for missions and it was super fun to tell them what the mission is like. I was also able to stay with a 95 year old grandpa which was super interesting haha. We were just talking and all of the sudden he asked me to give him my hand. I was like uhhhmm ok. Anyways, he started just telling me all about my future in some pretty specific detail and it kind of freaked me out. I didn´t really know what to do and afterwards he told me he used to be the stake patriarch. Anyways, I don´t think he´s allowed to do that haha but I didn´t know what to do. But I should have to continue with the members for just a tiny bit longer, I will find out tomorrow and hopefully it´s good news!!
The best news yet though, we are going to have a baptism this week! Hermano Román is going to be baptized this Saturday. He is so awesome and he wants to be baptized so much. Also, Hermana Steffany is going to be baptized either tomorrow (kinda rushed but she said it´s a possibility haha, we have to plan quick if she wants tomorrow), or the 30th of January. I am so happy and am so excited to have my first baptism here in the mission. I know that we have worked hard and the Lord is helping us a lot in the work. Another investigator, Hermana Katty, is also going to get married this February which is super exciting. She´s been an investigator for almost a year. But the investigators have been progressing a lot recently, and it makes me so happy and thankful to be a missionary.
Just some random things from this week: there was another mini earthquake this week which was pretty cool. I finished my tie, I will send a pic. And we had another English class which went pretty well.
Love and miss you all!!!!!!
