Week 30

This week was a really good week here in Huánuco.  We have still been super busy, trying to help people progress.  This week, my personal goal was to put more baptismal dates and try and relate the lessons to baptism.  I prayed a lot that God could help me and prepare these investigators.  Well, I was able to put two more baptismal dates this week!  I felt super good about it but at the same time, they are just goals and may not go through.  Anyways, Candy has a fecha and so does Neville, the dad of Steffany.  Pray for them so they can get baptized please!!
We have also been finding a lot of new people and giving out a lot of BOM´s.  Two weeks ago, we received a new box of BOM´s to give out.  They are already almost gone!  It feels good knowing that more people have heard about the BOM and that one day, may decide to read it.  One thing that President told us is that we have to search a ton to find that one person that is prepared.  We may have to talk to 100 people to find that one person that needs us.  I have found that to be true here.  Some days, we spend all day talking to people and feel like we don´t have success, but then we always find someone who seems to have been waiting for us.
This week in our district meeting, we talked a lot about our testimonies and why they are so important.  Even if it is a one sentence testimony, if you feel the spirit and really mean what you say, that testimony may change someone´s life.  Overall, I have been trying a lot to bear my testimony as much as I can.
This Sunday at church was awesome as well.  The messages were some of the best that I have heard while being in my mission and I was so happy that some of our investigators were able to be there as well.  Especially during the last hour, when we talked about eternal families.  One of our investigators, Miguel, really felt the spirit and now, finally, understands the importance of marriage and the family.  I know that he found answers to his questions this week at church.
Anyways today for P day will be kind of lame.  We are exhausted and going to sleep haha. But also we are going to eat a food called Tocosh.  It is literally the grossest food in all of Peru.  You can smell it from a mile away.  It´s potatoes, buried under a river, for a couple years.  It smells like the worst Bathroom you have ever walked into.  I will take pics and tell you if I survive.

I would like to finish with the list of investigators that need our help:
 1. Neville: That he can get baptized on April 22 and finally take this big step of baptism in his life.
 2.  Miguel and Adeli: again, that they can get married SOON!!
 3.  Katty: that she can get married and baptized on April 7th
 4.  Candy: that her health can get better and receive a testimony
 5.  Jairo and Roseo: That they can recieve a testimony of the BOM
 6. Jessica:  Testimony of the BOM as well

Thank you all for your love and support!!!!!!

Pictures of Huanuco

Some more pics from Huánuco central near a Giant head, pretty funny haha.

We finally found time to go to the big cathedral and it is super awesome.  Cathedral San Sebastian I think it is called.

Some more of the classic negritos from Huánuco, seriously everywhere.

One of my favorite pics, me and the little taxis here.  Also some little key chain items that I found, I love the mini llama.  And also another pic I forgot what it was.
