This week was super awesome! First and foremost, Katty got married and baptized! I am so happy for her and it was such an amazing, spiritual week. She has been preparing for a long time and she has told us thank you so many times haha. I have a ton of photos to send you all, don´t worry. But it made me super happy and another reminder that God has prepared people in this time for me, and I have to work hard to find them and change their lives. But Katty´s baptism was super spiritual and everyone was super reverent. I felt the spirit so strong and seeing the joy on her face made me so happy. Her wedding was super cool as well. A little different from a wedding that I would imagine haha, but cool. It started pretty late at night so unfortunately, we weren´t able to stay for too long. But it was super fun and the ward did awesome!
We also had divisions with week with other elders. I was able to go with another elder named Elder Ketring. He is from Alabama and is super funny. Nice to go on divisions, I think we will have divisions this week with the zone leaders as well.
I also had a super cool experience this week that I would like to share. So we have been visiting this girl named Jessica for a while. She is 23 with a baby and super awesome. The first time we found her, we taught her about the Book of Mormon and gave her one to read. She was super interested and accepted it with joy. Over the past month, we have been visiting her to leave her chapters in the BOM because she doesn´t have time for full lessons. We have left many chapters with her, and she has always read them. We always share our testimonies with her about the Book of Mormon and she is always excited to see us when we come by. Excited to read more of the BOM. Well, after reading much of the Book of Mormon, she knows it is true. We were passing by to go talk to her about the BOM again and she came out with the book in her arms. It was laminated and she held the book like it was the most precious thing in her life. She told me that she believes that it is true and that it has changed her life. She loves reading it and it made me so happy. However, she also told us that she will be in the jungle for 3 months and that we can´t visit her until she comes back, which made me super sad. However, I am happy to know that she knows the truth. She told me she is going to bring her BOM and that she will call us when she returns. It really reminded me that I am not here just for numbers, I am here for people´s lives. I know that Jessica will be baptized one day, although I may not be there for it. I know that she knows the truth and will accept all of the lessons with joy when the time comes. I am so thankful for this experience that I had, it really helped me see the changes that this gospel can bring.
Anyways, this week was super awesome. Love and miss you all!!!!!!!
