Another great week here in Huánuco. Just would like to start off by saying Happy Mother´s day to the best Mom ever! It was super awesome to talk to you and the rest of the fam, I am so thankful for all of you and thank you for your support.
I would just like to start off by telling you guys about the mountain we just climbed. Me, my comp, and the zone leaders all decided we would go. We got up to hike this thing at like 4:30 a.m. so I am pretty tired haha. Anyways, it´s like the biggest mountain in Huánuco so we thought we should go scale it. From the bottom, it just looks like a big hill, so we thought it would be easy, but we were super wrong. It started out super easy, fun, we had a path and everything. Then we got to the mountain. There was somewhat of a trail but it didn´t seem super safe and we considered going back, but we had walked a bit and just decided to keep going. So we ended up just scaling a mountain on a tiny trail that was super steep. We still aren´t sure if it was a trail. It took like 2 hours to get up and was super hard haha. Anyways, after aaaalllll that effort, we get to the top....and we are just getting blocked by clouds. We couldn´t really see anything and we ended up just taking some photos in the fog haha. But here is the worst part haha. Because of the clouds, we couldn´t find the path to get down, so we got lost. We couldn´t remember where we were and just decided to start going down. We just started walking, hoping to find the path, but we got super lost. We ended up just having to walk on super scary parts, trying to find the path for about half and hour. Well, we weren´t lost, we just wanted the easiest way to get down. We all fell a couple times and are all super cut up haha. At times we were using bushes to stop us from falling and it was super scary. It took just as long to go down as it did to go up. I was actually super scared at some moments and was regretting the whole mountain thing haha. Anyways, wouldn´t recommend it, super tired and couldn´t see anything at the top, will send some pics next week. So that was my Pday. Wouldn´t do it again.
To celebrate mother´s day, other than skype, we bought our pension a nice cake. It was pretty good and she was super happy. We weren´t really in the mood to work after those calls, but all is well now. Refocused. I will send pics of that as well next week.
Our work week was good. Darianela is getting baptized this Saturday which is awesome. I am super excited. Marco, the 17 year old, wants to get baptized as well, that should be in the next couple weeks. We were also able to do some more service for the members, we helped them build their house.
Overall, nothing too special, but that´s good, just another good week here. Would like to end with the list of investigators that need our prayers:
1. Marco: that he can get baptized on the 26th of may
2. Guadalupe: that she can understand the importance of the priesthood and the need to get baptized again
3. Thomas: that he can have time to go to church on Sundays and receive a testimony of the BOM
4. Miguel and Adeli: that they can have more time to meet with us
Love and miss you all!!!!!!!!!
