This week was a pretty good week here in Huancayo! We have been working pretty hard, especially with the members. Something that Elder Ponce has taught me very well is the importance of the members. Yes, I worked with them a lot before, but not like this. We already know everyone in the ward by name haha. It is super awesome and it really makes your ward feel a lot more like a home. Also, Elder Ponce has helped me improve my teaching a lot already. Coming from two English speaking companions, it is nice to learn from a native speaker, and a missionary with two years of experience! Yes, he is a little bit trunky and ready to go home, but I keep him working and try and stay focused as well.
Overall, we don´t have too many investigators, but it´s ok because that means we will have a lot more time to find more. One investigator we have is named Jeff. He is 18 and is super awesome. He has a baptism date for the 30th of June and I know he will get baptized. He is so receptive, understands so well, and is for sure a future missionary. The other day, after teaching the plan of salvation, he told us this plan seemed perfect and without flaw. After coming to church, he told us he loved the messages and loves the church. I feel and know that he already has a testimony. Please pray for Jeff.
We were also able to do a lot of service for the members. Many of these members are so happy to see us come by. They tell us they haven´t been visited in years by the missionaries and that makes me feel good to know that we are visiting them. One reason we are putting so much emphasis on the members is because of the size of the ward. Central, my ward, was the first ward in the entire stake. But now, it has the least attendance on Sundays. There are so many inactive members that need to come back that it makes it hard to focus on investigators. I realized how important it is to visit everyone, not just investigators. Yes, we are here to baptize but I honestly feel that this area needs something different. I may not have many investigators or baptisms in this area, but I am going to do all I can to reactivate some of these lost members.
I was also able to go see my old pension and all of her family. Chana had her birthday yesterday and was super grateful and happy to see me. Also, we played soccer this morning at 6:30 so I am pretty tired. Super hard to play soccer here considering the altitude. My new pension is super awesome as well, will send pics next week. Also, I finally have hot water in my room, it´s the best day ever. Love and miss you all!!!!

Hermano Wilder and I. And Mike.
Elder Ponce and I at the birthday party of a member named Mateo. The classic Peruvian, doesn´t smile in photos. Also some cool soccer field in our area.
Elder Ponce knows Piano and gives classes every Thursday, I am learning quite a bit as well. Also, like I said my new area is close to our old one and we found Perrote in the street! He is the dog that always followed Elder Tuesta and I in my first area. A cool bridge/river in our area.
It was also my old pension´s, Chana, birthday! She is so funny, I don´t remember every sending a photo of her to you guys. All of the other elders as well.
The sketchy buses we take around town haha.
That deer on the wall is the deer that I ate while in my first area. We made pachamanka of freaking deer haha. Also, this is Rex! He used to be a puppy and now he is huge.
