This week was pretty good. I have been pretty sick so a little bit of a bummer but I´m still working, no days off. This week, I also started getting these weird sores on my face all of the sudden, went to the dermatologist, and she told me I have freaking Hongos on my face. I was like, what the heck is that. Anyways, she gave me a cream to fix it. Just those Peru things. Just thought I would tell you guys that because you will see in the pictures what I mean.
Anyways, this week, we were practicing all week for a play that the stake is putting on. It was a play about family history work and the spirit world. But yesterday for the play/presentation, there were like 200 people. A lot more successful than we thought it would be. I am officially an actor.
I was also able to go on divisions with Elder Clove, an elder from my group. He is super funny and knows a crap ton of the scriptures, big example for me. We had an awesome day and were able to celebrate 4th of July together haha. We bought some fireworks (just little ones) and my pension made Hamburgers for us!! Overall, successful fourth of July even though we were the only ones celebrating.
Jeff, our investigator, participated in the stake dance competition. He loves the church, just lacks that little push to be baptized. We finished teaching the lessons to him and he felt good. We decided to fast with him and he said yes, he wants to receive an answer so much. Please pray for Jeff and that he can receive his answer.
Elder Ponce and I also gave talks this week at church. They went super well and were focused on missionary work! What a surprise! But I talked for about 10 minutes and I really felt good about what I had shared. The members trust us a lot, we get references a lot now which is good! Anyways, our area is pretty hard but awesome as well. Love the ward and the people!! The ward is also growing again. The first week I was here there were only about 60 people at church, but yesterday, we almost hit 100, super happy. Still visiting a lot of less actives and the investigators we feel can progress. Love and miss you all!
