Sorry for not writing you all last week, to be honest, I forgot. These past two weeks have been awesome. I am having a blast training and I love the enthusiasm that my companion has about the mission. It is awesome working with a companion that loves working as well.
Anyways, this past week was pretty hard work. We had a lot of ups and a lot of downs. Starting with the bad parts of the week, peru has been full of parties all week. The 28th of July is Independance day here in Peru, and instead of just celebrating the one day, they celebrate the whole week. Many of our appointments fell through and we ended up having to contact a lot. But it was also an awesome week, because our investigators that we have are progressing very well. We were able to put three baptismal dates this week which was awesome. Jeff, our investigator, is going to get baptized on the 11th of August which makes me super happy. I feel and know that he is going to serve a mission as well. Alan, a new investigator that we found, also accepted a baptismal date and is super interested in the church. And finally, Sayuri and Cielo, two daughters of a member family, are going to get baptized on the 18th of August. Overall, we have been working hard to find new investigators and ensure that these three investigators all get baptized. On the 28th of July itself, we all as missionaries went to a huge plaza and just contacted. It was super fun but unfortunately, most of the people we found were not from Huancayo but from all over Peru. Overall, pretty successful two weeks and I am enjoying my new companion, Elder Contreras. Love and miss you all!!!!!
We went to some ruins in Huancayo as district p-day, pretty cool but
definitely not Machu Picchu.
