This week was a super good week. To start off the week, we had a training about the new English program that the church is starting. Some of us gringos got assigned as English teacher and I was one of them. The program is called English Connect and looks super sweet, it will be a good way to find new people.
This week, my companion also had to go to Lima to get his Visa stuff done. So I was with Elder Goicochea, who works in the area next to mine. it was super tiring working in two areas, walking between the two all day. I have never walked so much in my life haha, but all is well.
A funny experience happened this week. So next to our room where we sleep, there is some party place or church or something that is always super loud at night. We have asked nicely several times so they can turn down the music, but they don´t seem to listen. So at midnight the other night, we just through old shoes and water at the roof and they turned it down. We were just super tired and wanted to sleep but couldn´t. Throwing stuff at them helped haha.
We have also been working a lot with the recent converts of the past elders which is pretty fun. But fun in a bad way. They don´t remember anything! Every time I go to teach them I ask myself how these people got baptized haha. But it´s ok because we are reviewing the lessons with them and trying to reactivate them haha.
For our investigators, they are progressing well. Morelia came to church again and is still progressing, Edgar came to church again, and we have been finding more families which is good. We had several investigators scheduled to get baptized on Oct 6 but we realized that it isn´t possible with the elections in Peru, so they are being postponed to the 20th, which means I won´t be here.
Anyways, I am going to finish with the list of people that need our help:
1. Morelia: that she can be baptized on the 20th of Oct (I won´t be here but taught everything:()
2. Digna: that she can be baptized on the 20th of Oct (I won´t be here but taught everything)
3. Edgar: that he can be baptized on the 27th of Oct (won't be here but taught almost everything)
4. David, Lizbeth, and Piero: that they can receive a testimony and go to church
5. Edgar, Patty, and Kenny: that they can receive a testimony and go to church
6. Renato: that he can understand that he needs to be baptized just as Jesus did
7. Fran: that he can know this is the true church
8. Samuel: that he can go to church and receive a testimony
Love and miss you all, sorry I didn't take too many photos!!!!
