Pretty good week here in Oxa. Melanio got baptized this week which was pretty cool. Super hard to baptize an 85 year old but worth it haha. I would send pics but the internet isn´t too good here, it takes too long. But other than that, for opening an area, we are starting to have a lot of success. We have two more investigators with baptismal dates and we are going to put more this week. We have been praying a ton to find new peopel and I can see that the lord is blessing us.
We had a super awesome experience this week with a new investigator. Her name is Noemi, we had contacted her in the market a couple weeks ago but didn´t see too much interest. This week, on sunday, a member named Carmen told us that her friend named Noemi wants to meet with us. The first time we go to talk to her, she says she wants to be baptized so we put a goal. We taught her about prayer and after the lesson she said, that´s all? She wanted to learn so much and was so excited to meet with us. I am so happy to have found her, please pray for my companion and I to find more people like here.
We finally bought umbrellas, we couldn´t walk in the rain anymore. I make Elder Cartagena walk a lot haha. The good news is that the Oxa ward is growing a lot. This sunday we easily had more than a hundred people at church which is a lot compared to the fifty that came my first week. We are working hard as a ward bring people back. I am hoping to have a lot of time here because I see a lot of potential.
