Pretty good week here in Oxa. Well, this week was pretty good but bad haha. Good news, Kenyo and Angela are progressing a lot. Angela is now reading her BOM and really wants to know the truth, but still doesn´t have time to come to church. Kenyo, already has 5 attendences at church! We just have to get him reading the BOM so that he can get a testimony. Also, Naomi, the daughter of a member, is going to get baptized on the 22 of December which is exciting. These are the three people that are progressing a lot and that show a real desire to know the truth. Pretty happy but at the same time, sad to see that the other people we teach don´t show that same desire. This week, we had to contact a lot and had a lot of citas fall. It was ok, because it gave me an opportunity to help my companion and to help give grow out of his shell. Nothing too special happened this week but here are a couple small things that happened:
- The Christmas devotional: pretty awesome. Always nice to hear the church leaders voices in English and not Spanish, loved President Nelson´s talk about all of the gifts that God has given us.
- Last night, my comp woke up at like 11 p.m. and turned on the light and at first I didn´t know why. Apparently there was a huge cockroach in the room and he killed it. Our room is very clean, we never know where these bugs come from.
- English class going good, new people coming every week!
- Got to try some more wacky fruit from the jungle, excited for you guys to try them.
Love and miss you all!!!! Cuídense
The second waterfall we went to today, a lot bigger and cooler. It took about 40 minutes in car and about an hour´s walk but definitely worth it. Kind of weird that after a whole week of walking, even on P day we end up walking. Anyways, here are some cool photos.
