Week 88

Hello everyone, this week was pretty good.  So in Peru, Holy week is huge! In the states we only celebrate Easter Sunday, but here they celebrate the whole week.  Not only do they celebrate the whole week, but they took it very very serious.  We saw several times, people reenacting Jesus Christ and his crucifiction.  Kinda hard to watch because we should be remembering his resurrection but here, with the cross symbol in every place, it is more about his crucifiction.  We decided that as a district, we would go show videos of Jesus in the park, focusing on his teachings and on his resurrection.  It was super cool, a lot of people came to watch, and it helped people see a lot more of what Jesus did for us.  I sent a pic and a video.
So another thing about Holy week, seems like everyone likes to leave Cerro for vacations.  I mean EVERYONE.  I am not even kidding you, from Thursday to Saturday, I saw more dogs than I did people.  It was kinda frustrating wanting to work, but not being able to.  Even the members had left haha.  We tried to make the most of it, doing an activity and trying to find a way to work, but still super hard.
Some exciting news, investigators only have to attend church 2 times before they can be baptized.  It is a huge help because here in Cerro, people work for 14 days and rest for 7, making it super hard for them to come to church.  I hope that means we can get some more baptisms!
Another cool story from this week, the guy that we teach in English, we are now teaching his entire class English as well.  We are just helping them learn English at the church, with the hope that someone wants to learn about the church, we´ll see what happens.
Anyways, not the most exciting week but a good one, love and miss you all!!!!!
