Hey everyone, pretty crazy week. Last week at night the assistants telling me that they were going to close my area and that we had changes. So in the mission, there´s a lot of people leaving the mission and very few missionaries are coming. For example, this past weekend, 14 missionaries went home and only 4 came. Next change, 19 will go home (including me) and only 5 or so will come, so they have to close a lot of areas for the lack of missionaries and my area was one of them. So I had changes and I got changed to Huánuco to an area called Viña del Rio. I am pretty happy to finish here, I have heard a lot of good about this area. My companion is named Elder Travez, he is from Otavalo, Ecuador, where everyone has long hard haha, just research a little about Otavalo.
My last week in Ambo was pretty good, except for one little thing. I went on divisions with Elder Price and at a cita, she gave us some weird food that has been messing with my stomach for the last couple days. Kind of annoying because I hate saying no to people who want to give us food, but unfortunately this time, it made us both pretty sick.
We also had a crazy service project this week. Some lady asked us to help her carry firewood to her house and we didn´t think it would be that hard haha. But we ended up walking like 45 minutes away from her house and cutting down a tree with a machete and then into separate pieces all with a machete. Then we had to carry the logs all the way back to her house haha. It was super hard but just one of those funny mission experiences that you just laugh at.
